When one is lying on their death bed, the last thing that is on their mind is how much money they made, how many things they have owned, how many places they have visited, or how much education the acquired, etc.
Most people think about the lives that they have touched. Their family, friends, and the meaningful relationships that have filled their lives. These memories brings them either a rich joy of fulfillment, or an agonizing regret for the emptiness and loneliness that is left to them in their final hour.
It seems that those who die alone, die with the most regrets, and those whose lives have touched others in a loving positive way, die the happiest.
